Myers is still overpaid at $3M and 3 years is too much term. Bruins can just keep Clifton as RD3.

Lol, no, Myers at 3M is a bargain. Wake the heck up, and he has two years left, not three

Two or three years, he is overpaid and it's easy to get a 3rd pair D under $2M (which Clifton is).

Myers is complete garbage a far cry from what he once was as a Sabre and Jet

He was a +15 this year playing 22M per game as Vancouver's top RD. You are entitled not to like his style of play or the fact that he makes 6M per year or even that he may not be the player he once was but to say he is complete garbage is a ridiculous thing to say and a bad take.

Myers at $3M is a price some GM will like. RHD are a rarity so at 50% retained he can absolutely fetch a decent return, even if it isn't from Boston

Everyone saying Myers is garbage hasn’t watched him play in years and just jumping on a bandwagon of stupid Canucks fans who don’t like his contract. Yes he’s overpaid but he’s still a 2nd pairing RHD easily. Canucks just can’t afford him at 6mill.

Boston is set at D. They will be trading away D as they have to many as it is.

They'll trade away a LD, either Reilly or Forbort, but if they don't view Clifton as their 3RD long-term, maybe they look to address that roster spot in the off-season, cause it don't sound like Zboril is coming back

They don’t need him to be long term, they just need him to be a cheap option next year. Which he is. They have cap issues as well. 5m of available space currently. If they were going to spend 3m on a 3rd pair d man they’d just keep Reilly. He and Forbort both can play off side. As can Zboril if he comes back. Berglund is a RD that is close to ready as well. Add in it’s a terrible trade from Boston’s end. It’s a no.

Based on positional need maybe, but the value is fine
