Why would the Devils give up a top 5 pick and good RHD prospect for 2 overpaid contracts?

I don’t know but I just read the devils were willing to trade the pick and Im just a habs fan soooo.. tadam!

I could see NJD having interest in Anderson, but not Petry. And neither at the expense of our 1st pick.

Most likely for someone like Fiala, Debrincat, or Meier.

I think the habs have only one piece the devils would move 5OA for and it’s Caulfield

Yeah, I guess a three way trade is the only option to get it. Maybe Colombus’s pick might be a better target.
