Red Wings decline. 3rd for Schmidt is fair. Yzerman can shop elsewhere.

Hold up... are you really expecting two 2nd for 1st swaps in the next two drafts + Schneider +Kravstov for the floating cancer? MmmIdunno.

I don’t know man, Copp keeps scoring and playing really well with Panarin. Plus he’s cheaper, younger and plays a pretty good 2 way game. Plus we don’t have to trade anything for him. I think Copp makes more sense for us.

There's a condition on an earlier deal done between WPG and NYR, where if NYR makes the conference finals they give their 2nd round pick they gave for Copp back, and it turns into their 2022 1st round pick. Of course that only happens if they do make it there, but say it does then they get the pick.

In the Scheifele trade I don't think that's quite fair. NYR needs more scoring and that's what Scheifele does well, he's a point per game player on a pretty decent deal for two years and can really boost their top 6. In my mind Scheifele is worth around a 2022 1st and a very good prospect, then on top of that they buy Kravtsov, who probably wont ever play for NYR for a second.

1- Ahhh yes. Forgot that one.

2- Scheif can score, but he has turned into a bad teammate out there, which is not exactly a secret at this point.

Yeah OP got a bit greedy on that one IMO. (And the Scheifele trade too)

The Ranger trade is close if you take out the 2nd from Winnipeg and Kravtsov is replaced with a better piece that has some value to Winnipeg.

The Jets have no reason to give away Heinola and DeMelo for cap dumps and unneeded pieces.

Yeah, there's a lot wrong with these trades. I don't understand why people think that with the position the Jets are in that they should give away good players for nothing.

Agreed, He's probably a slight upgrade to what we have on the 3rd pair and a 3rd round pick has about a 15% chance of ever playing in the NHL and his 3mil cap hit while slightly high for what he brings won't make a difference to us .

Yeah, there's a kit wing with these trades. I don't understand why people think that with the position the Jets are in that they should give away good players for nothing.

      Whats a kit wing? lol

Not that I'm a fan of all these moves but there's plenty of cap space left to keep Dillon which is what I think should happen, watching this playoff hockey just reaffirms to me that too many small dmen will not work!
