Description

Note: I would not do these moves if I was GM but the Flyers are desperate to make the playoffs and get fans in the stands again. These moves won't make them cup contenders. They would be a bubble team. As long as they don't sign Kadri I would be fine with an off-season like this.

Everything depends on Ellis. They aren't going to let Provorov have a bad partner again. There was a rumor earlier this year that the flyers-habs were going to do a petry-JVR trade. Maybe they do it this off-season as a backup plan to Ellis' inevitable injury.

Scheifele is still a point per game player. Sounds like he is a locker room cancer in Winnipeg and against backchecking, but he only has two years left on his contract at a reasonable cap hit. Hopefully they can draft a top 5 center in this years draft to replace him when the time comes.

I'd be ok trading a few prospects for Lawson Crouse because he is only 25 years old. He's a power forward who can score 20 goals.

Can’t we just tank lol, I haven’t seen any real scenarios on here that would make us anything better than a bubble team

Edit: also, all the ideas I see on here make us worse in 3+ years and back to the bottom of the league

Not enough, just not the type of package Winnipeg likely looks for. I’m not a fan of frost, and I think Konecny is struggling. He had a really down year in terms of his overall play, but jets do need RW. I think there’s a trade to be made with PHI, but I think jets would ask for something different besides frost and that 24 1st.

It would still be more likely that the Jets would look for a trade that fills needs for them over a random offer of players/picks. Konecny is a nice add to a main piece, I just don't think Philly has that main piece, unless the Jets would consider Philly's 1st from this year as a main piece.
