That doesn’t make a ton of sense for LA. They don’t have a ton of depth on their RD past an aging Drew Doughty. Why would they trade one of their only promising replacements, when they have the farm system to already strengthen their top 6?

HEH???? Kings have insane RD depth. Maybe the best I. The league.

Doughty
Roy
Walker
Grans
Faber

Oh yeah and Brandt Clark may be the best RD prospect in the league right now.

Them trading a RD is almost a no brainer if they are looking to add up front. LA has been linked to Garland since the TDL

I didn’t know much about durzi, I thought he was a 3rd pair guy but he can rack up pts. Is he another Neal Pionk?

So, several oft injured RD, and a couple of guys who haven’t even made it to the league yet? It’s a cool group on paper, but when half of them are too banged up to even play a full seasons Durzi is much less expendable.

Looks like he could be a top 4 guy in the Sam Girard mold. Very similar size and style of play. There seems to be a lot of dmen like that breaking into the league (Durzi, Rathbone, Lundkvist, Smith, Addison)

Depending on what moves are made in FA, I could possibly up for that deal

All of these guys struggle defensively. You can also add Branny to the list

I didn’t say that. I said it was a cool group actually. I just explained why moving Durzi wouldn’t make any sense. He’s the one healthy guy, and makes one hell of an impact. Why would they trade that away when they have the system to crank out top 6 forwards?

lol what. The Kings have deepest RD poop in the NHL. They have too many in fact. You got Doughty, Durzi, Spence, Clarke, Faber, and Grans all fighting for 3 spots. This is a sketchy take my dude

Lol we should convince the Kings that their RD are bad. We’d happily take their “bad” RHD off their hands 😂

Because you have a glut of young RHD that will soon be ready for the NHL but you only have 3 RD spots on the roster.

You originally said they don’t have a ton of depth, and the called durzi one of their only promising replacements. When several people pointed out you are wrong, you said since some guys have been injured before and that other players have not been in the NHL yet so it makes durzi much less expendable.

This is wrong. Just because Sean walker was injured this year does not mean he’s going to miss most of the games over the next two years of his contract. Ditto for doughty and Roy. Plus, yeah obviously the prospects don’t have NHL experience. That doesn’t mean they won’t make the team though? I mean, jordan Spence as seeing PP1 time in THIS playoff series. Helge grans will be 20 in a few days and is probably one season away from NHL, ditto Brandt Clarke and Brock faber.

So, 4 NHL ready D-man in doughty, Roy, Walker, and Spence. 3 AHL ready d-man who are probably one year away in grans, faber, and clarke.

It’s more than just a cool group on paper. It’s is a super deep right side already with some very high potential prospects who will break through very soon

Yep. Still potential top 4 guys but they will all likely have a difficult time defensively. There are probably a few more like this that I am missing.

Durzi isn’t the guy that would be available.

Doughty hasn’t played a full season for years, and is on the decline.
Faber has a 23% NHLe in Bacon’s model, while Spence had an 8% (though he’s looked good in the AHL, and his limited time in the NHL)

Clarke is a stud, and so is Grans, but who’s to say if either of them would beat our Durzi in camp especially after the season he was able to put together?

Durzi has been great in the Playoffs, I doubt he's the one they move. They probably move Spence, Grans and/or Walker/Roy first. They may even only move one of them.

You left out Jordan Spence in this list, but I see you remembered him in a later comment (#18).

This is a very tempting offer for us, given the four years' term left on Garland's contract.
