Your saying that might not be enough for chychrun. Dudes draft value is becoming severely overrated. Yes hes good but not that draft capital good. Might ask well add a kidney into the trade.

The Capitals likely don’t need to do that. Though I could go into Hagelin improved to end the year and could get a late round pick elsewhere, it seems likely that he could stay on LTIR for a while. He’s had to have two separated procedures done on his eye injury, and injuries like those don’t have good track records (see Johnny Boychuk), so I would say that he would just start the year on Washington’s LTIR and the Caps cross that bridge when they come to it.

Edit: Just learned that he got to skate in pads today, so hopefully it is a sign of progression. Still worry about a full recovery but a good sign forward.

I feel like people think he's better than he is as well. I was kind of going off alot of recent trades I have seen for him. I also don't give Bailey any value either with his contract.

I think they definitely need to move out a little bit of cap, but the info on his surgery and progression was unknown to me, thanks for that.

Chiarot got a first at the deadline. Don't think chychrun is getting the 4 first round equivalent package or whatever coyotes were originally asking for, but bailey is negative value in this deal so a first and three seconds isnt going to cut it

That's a very underwhelming package for Chychrun. Bellows isn't worth very much and Bailey doesn't have any real positive value.
