Description

Coaches:
1) The jets hire Barry Trotz. Bring in one assistant of completely his choice and the other Barry chooses with the requirements being a young special teams specialist.
2) Resign wade Flaherty

Leadership:
1) resign stastny.
2) Dubois gets an A.
3) JoMo becomes captain to bridge an age gap, Wheeler comes down to an A

Draft:
1) Jets win lottery, draft draft David Jiricek at 4 oa.
2) Draft Noah Warren in 2nd round, Cruz Lucius in the 3rd.

Signings:
1) Dubois signs long term
2) Bringing comrie back
3) Going for a big 2-way winger in UFA
4) signing current bottom 6 cheap

Trade:
1) Making space on the roster for younger guys (moving Schmidt)
2) Giving guys a change of scenery (ie Stanley, Vesalainen)
3) Finding JoMo a partner

Word of caution with trotz: vets like Wheeler will get ice time on top 2 lines guaranteed. Though hopefully he should be better with reduced mins.

Do not trade Chibrokov. That’s a lot for Severson.

I like almost all the moves except for Severson. They could target him but they should not pay that much. In my eyes Chibrikov is an untouchable, as he will be a very dynamic top six player in a couple years. Lucius perfetti and Chibrikov are the untouchable prospects for me.

Severson is a 40 pt d-man who plays in all situations. Not to mention he’s big and plays physical. That’s exactly what JoMo needs. I’ll take that over chibrikov, a (hopefully) late first and 2nd all day. severson is an upgrade on demelo big time.

To get a top pair/top 3 d-man now when we hope to be contending is worth moving guys like that. I like chibrikov, and he looks like he’ll be a top 6 guy, but the jets are set in the top 6 for a while in rashevsky (one of my untouchables), perfetti, connor, Dubois, ehelrs and maybe scheifele. Therefore, I’m more than open to moving guys like Lucius and chibrikov if it adresses our needs.

Considering how much philly gave for risto, this package seems adequate
