As a NYR fan who couldn't see Ruff out the door quick enough- I can't agree with you more here.
Might want to hear a bit from (fair minded) Isles, Caps, and Preds fans though before taking a leap though...if accusations are true that he was about to run some young stars out of town- NJD might want to think about that.

i love barry, but i don’t know that he’s the right guy for a young rebuilding team. he makes more sense IMO for a team like winnipeg or vegas that needs some re-direction and better defensive structure but has a core in place.
