Stars decline. Can't afford Burns long-term, even at partly retained.

Since the Leafs need cap next season, the Leafs should accept that offer for two years of Nylander

I think the Devils would probably do this?

Draft Cooley and bring in Meier? Yeah, I'm here for this one I think

Cooley is the 2nd best player in the draft imo (maybe even the best).

Is there any reason you don't like him besides his height and position at the NTDP?

Small playmaking center is pretty low on the priority list for NJD. I think he's overrated by most.

He gives me a lot of Perfetti vibes, good puck skills and can finish but has a choppy stride and weak upper body strength.

A lot of his goals to me look like junior goals, I don't think his play style will translate well to the NHL.

He's a fine player, I have him in the top 10 just not in love with him like many others. Admittedly I would probably be a little higher on him if I didn't think he was such a bad fit in NJ. Wouldn't take him ahead of the 3 guys I listed personally.

I like that you expanded beyond his position and size but I disagree on his skillset evaluation. That's fine, of course.

I think at worst he's Clayton Keller. At best he's Aho or Point

I think at best he's Jeff Skinner, which is fine but Devils are probably better off taking someone else.

It offered some fresh insights on him and I've changed my stance slightly, I still don't like him as a fit for NJD nor do I think he's so good that he should be the de facto number 2 pick though.

If I was a Coyotes or Kraken fan I would probably want him.

Kuraly's already excelling here in the only role Bonino would have a chance of fulfilling, and he's got the age and hometown advantages as well. No thanks.
