PPG 2 years in the NCAA seems pretty good for a 4th rounder,

nice pick / signing

People clown on the Oilers but once Savoie and Holloway are flanking McDavid the league is in trouble

But to act as if we should be “regretting our criticism” because two rookies are going to come in to save a team that SHOULD have already done something notable with their generational talents (yea plural) - is kinda laughable wouldn’t you agree?

It’s more clown to say “guys dw mcdavid, Leon, Kane, Hyman, nurse, Yamamoto, RNH WILL FINALLY SUCCEED ONCE THEY HAVE SAVOIE AND HOLLOWAY!!!” Like to me… that’s pretty 🤡🤡🤡

It's really not that deep LOL I'm not even an Oilers fan I just follow these two prospects in particular and they both look great at their respective levels so I can imagine they're gonna make huge impacts in the NHL soon ESPECIALLY next to McDavid and/or Draisaitl. But stay mad I guess!!

Is it actually starting this season? I figured it was a 22-23 starting contract, and that it's just listed wrong here. Most ELC's signed rn are being done that way no?

He's not as good as his younger brother but he's been fantastic since being drafted. Here he is vs his closest comp by NHLe:

Draft+1
Savoie: 82, 19-11-30
Caufield: 82, 14-13-27

Draft+2
Savoie: 82, 21-21-42
Caufield: 82, 26-20-46

Lots of NCAA players negotiate that to come out of college early. Cole Caufield did too. It'll make Savoie's second contract cheaper as he'll be less established.
