New Jersey can move this pick because Cooley is the 2nd overall pick and you don't skip him. New Jersey does not need another Center and DeBrincat is a premier player. This also is a great way fro Chicago to start a rebuild with the 2OA pick. Not sure they could get better value than this.

Hawks keep the sure thing in DeBrincat. They don't want to trade him. Gonna take a huge overpay. This isn't it.

Thanks for the feedback. I am impartial as I don't really have an interest in either team. I just find it hard to believe that Debrincat is going to want to stay through a rebuild. I get he is an RFA but I have to think he will still demand a trade. When players demand trades and sit out, their value drops because other teams know that you are sitting on a dead asset.

Or NJD select Slafkovsky who plays wing and will be a better player long term than debrincat

Add Holtz and you get a conversation started. But that pick alone doesn't get you Cat. Not in this draft.

Oh he may be, but I would be shocked if New Jersey doesn't take the best player in the draft regardless of there needs. You don't take Wright with the 1st overall pick because you don't need a center.

Every player NJD asks for seems to cost "Holtz and our 1st"

(not directing this at you, Garak. Just making a general point).

This just isn't close for Cat. Cooley versus Cat is out of whack...every team in the league would easily take Cat

Ain't that a fact.
Hawks would want Jack.
Or at least Mercer back.
