Yeah… Habs easily reject that. Take out Dvorak and we might consider

Montreal and Buffalo are blocking Dorion's number after that. Those contracts are also completely unrealistic.

EDIT: Vegas deal makes no sense for them either.

Sabres aren’t gonna do that
And i don’t think anyone will
You’re gonna have to give up more to get those contracts off your books imo

Sabres are looking to improve at D and Goalie, not hope reclaimation projects work out, the 2nd isnt enough unless theyre super high on someone at 39 that they cant get at 41, so fairly unlikely

I'd be willing to do that. Daoust had a stellar season in the Q this year but if Ottawa is determined to move White rather than buying him out then I'm fine with this.

Never heard of this Daoust before, but when I initially commented it was White and Tampa’s second for Dvorak. Still would rather keep Dvorak though. Really good insulation for Wright and he quietly has 17 points in 22 games under St Louis

Vegas in the middle of their hunt for a Stanley cup trades away the best contract in hockey for the 7th pick? Who’s going to contribute when? Zero sense

That trade may work for Buffalo.
The second is 39th OA (giving Buffalo five picks among the top 40 in this years draft), Zaitsev is a good 2nd pairing RHD (hits, blocks shots and can KP) and Murray had his best seasons when Mike Bales was his GK coach.
If Bales cannot improve Murray's performance, he would still be an improvement over Tokarski and his salary would help the Sabres reach the cap floor.
IMO Dorion may need to add an additional sweetener, but the Sabres did take on Butcher's $2,822,764 AVV for one year with only a fifth round pick as a sweetener.
