I don’t think the Flyers do that. I think even if you remove the bad contract of Foligno the Flyers accept. I don’t know if anything you get is more valuable then just waiting with Provy and hoping he rebounds playing with Ellis

As much as he had a down year, he still finished with 30+ pts without a partner on the RD (other than Braun who's a 3 RD).

Strudnicka is not the shiney youngster he once was and is an average bottom 6 NHLer at best who is also unsigned, Foligno is old and a cap dump, grel is alright, but not a top 4 dman. SO its three meh commodities and a likely mid round 1st at best. PHI lacks high end players, not bottom 6 forwards/bottom 2 defensemen.

Ellis played 4 games with provorov so PHI is probably looking at Ellis as almost a new add in 2022-23. If they move a defenseman its probably Sanheim, coming off a career year, but just 1 yr left at 4.6mil, with Cam York as his replacement. Debrusk for Sanheim seems close to what both teams need.

But that package is weak.

At the same time though, grzelcyk was better than provorov this year.

He’s been a top four in boston for a long time. Has looked uncharacteristically bad in the playoffs though. Thats assuming that, “grel,” is grzelcyk.

Yeah that may be true, but Provorov was an early first in a stacked draft class and is younger. He also had played at a higher level than Grzelcyk in the past. I think it is better to wait it out and hope he rebounds then selling low on him and getting a subpar return

Where he was drafted really doesn’t matter anymore. Higher ceiling for sure, but he’s a mess right now
