Doubt Kane or Toews waives for those teams.

Strome isn't worth a 4 year $5M deal. On a long term deal he's a $3.5M to $4M player. On a 1 or 2 year $4M to $5M max.

Panthers decline and that's a very steep price for Kane

This is laughable... the isles are not going to trade a franchise goalie and a promising young winger AND a first for an above 30 winger. Way too high of an ask

EDIT: read wrong.... I think the package is a bit overkill, but realistically if Kane was being moved it's going to be for a larger package. Kane is still an amazing player, still producing at a high level, but bringing in Kane is a great business decision. Every owner would jump all over the possibility of brining in a Kane, because he sells. Merchandise, Jerseys, and etc, bringing in Kane is going to increase sales. I don't think Hawks ownership would be happy with management trading Kane.

Florida would rather just find away to bring back Giroux who is a better two way forward right now rather than trade more assets to take a downgrade in Toews.

I can guarantee you that Sorokin or Wahlstrom will never go in a package for Patrick Kane

Islanders counter with Josh Bailey for Lukas Reichel, Nic Beaudin, and next year's 1st.

Remember how everyone was talking all season long about how insane Igor Shesterkin's season was this year? The guy right behind him in nearly every major goalie stat category is the guy you're trying to get here. One year of a 34 year old Patrick Kane, no matter how discounted, is never going to get you that kind of player. To throw in Wahlstrom *and* the 13th overall is just an insane ask. I wouldn't move that package for DeBrincat without Chicago adding significantly.

Edmonton doesn't have the cap space to make a pick-for-player trade. If you ask for a player on the Oilers squad that makes equal or more than Kubalik is expected to get on his next deal, they might listen.
