Some good thoughts, but I think DUmba (even if he waives his NTC) gets a better prospect in that package.

Georgiev is a nice shout, but I think BUF will spend some cap space for a goalie, maybe the dreaded Mrazek and TOR 2nd for future considerations.

Theres part of me that wants to disagree with Nich for 6mil, but thats probably about right, although I think Burakovsky is a better option for similar money.

Maybe a bit too much youth in lineup, but overall I like the moves

Don't like the Rangers trade, rather keep Olofsson and he's worth more than just Georgiev.

Georgiev had a below .900save% this season
And it’s declined EVERY year he’s been in the league
So first off, basically zero interest in him based off that

Even if we did think a change of scenery might help him,
we already have a young goalie (UPL) who’s gonna get promoted next season to be our “1B” goalie
And with Georgiev’s declining stats, he’s just simply not “1A” material
And the hope he ever would be has been fading for years
So really, no interest imo

And I’m not gonna go to much into the proposed trade for Olofsson other than to say it’s pretty far out there to suggest a struggling backup goalie for a proven goal scoring top6 forward

I’m trying to be nice about it, but that’s just bad dude

Also, not trading a 1st for a rental in Dumba who can walk at the end of the year

No, the Sabres aren’t taking Mrazek
Doubtful anyone will

I'm sure you could have Georgiev for a 3rd if he wanted to go there. He'll get to choose his destination out of the teams that want him since there isn't much coming back for him. You can get more for Olofsson.

Olofsson should be able to hit 25-30 goals if he's healthy and utilized properly. I don't wanna move him at all, having said that georgiev doesn't move the needle whatsoever if I was going to move olofsson. Goalies are voodoo, I think the Sabres are looking for a solid reliable goalie, if they are able to get that guy, I can see them taking a shot at a fixer upper like georgiev, depending on cost (hint, super cheap).

Olofsson's wrist is done trust me, I've heard he barely can't use it on reports from Örnsköldsvik (where he's from), he has to go to several operations to fix it apparently...

Well documented In the comments but Buffalo shouldn't be paying premiums for players who struggled.
Dumba had one of if not his worst analytical season this year. And George save % declined again.
Those are players possibly worth a shot but not at the cost. It'll be interesting what happens to Dumba. Min is obviously wanting a 1st and prospect I just don't know who is gonna spend that for a guy with a bad year and walking into ufa.

Well haven't heard that, but if true goalies better watch out if he gets it fixed, cause when he was feeling it the last 25gms, the shot was back.
