That's probably fair value for Gibson, but his asking price would be way higher.

Ottawa declines.

We'd much rather have what we're giving up here.

We were going to have him at LW at the start of this past season.

But we lost Pinto and White to injury and that changed everything.

We'll see.

I think NJD are better off without the first two deals. But Gibson deal looks good.

Brown will not be a sens after next year, so it 7th and a 2nd in 2023 to move up to 2nd OA

Brown is worth at least a 1st round pick by himself.

I can't see Jiricek getting past either Philly or Columbus to make it to seventh. Just keep your second and go for Nemec.

I was gonna laugh and move on at the Tatar deal but if the implication that the Sens move up from 7OA to 2OA and are able to pick Slafkovsky at the cost of the downgrade from Brown to Tatar and a 2nd is tempting... idk if the Sens actually do it, I think they may be more inclined to trade the 7OA and Brown for a direct, current upgrade instead. But I don't hate the idea of this. Sens fans have been getting impatient recently and wanting to be more competitive next year and it's understandably so, but with next year's draft, another year of taking it a bit slow would be far from the worst thing in the world.
