If Guerin decides to no longer resign dumba, it surely as heck won't be for this. Minnesota isn't taking on cap dump Jason Dickinson.

Didn't get all the knowledge before making this post I see. Kulikov blamed Buffalo for him being bad at hockey

Depends on where that pick falls for Ottawa but if that isn’t a top 10 pick that’s pretty weak value for Fiala. The guy has been at or around PPG for what, the last 2 or 3 years? Very solid player. I think their 1st this year with the other 2 things work. Boucher isn’t that good I hate to say it. A lot of people had him as a projected 3rd rounder or around that going into the draft and while his value is higher than that, it’s not super high. Was a horrible pick at the time and looks even worse rn. His ceiling I would say is a 3rd liner who hits and fights (maybe like a Greenway at absolute best case scenario? Or a Foligno but instead of elite defence just average?)

boucher was projected in the 4th round and is playing like a 4th round pick.

I don't think it'd be wise for Ottawa to start trading firsts just yet. Especially for a winger. Maybe if it was top 10 protected.

Hard to say. If the cost is a first or 2x second's then VAN would probably be out of the bidding. The Dickinson contract subtraction would be very appealing for them though.

I’d argue worse than that. Very poor in NCAA and his OHL production leaves a lot to be desired. Plenty of depth picks have outproduced him already in the O

Yeah I absolutely take that trade proposed by OP if I'm the Sens' GM - I think Boucher has a chance to turn it around and find his game, but that's an underpayment for Fiala IMO even if he was pretty bad this past playoff run for Minnesota.

Adding in this year's 7oa is asking too much though. I think 2022 7oa pick + 2023 2nd + Boucher, or 2023 1st with top 5 protection + a better prospect (Grieg or Sokolov perhaps) is more even.

I was referring to the 7th overall + Boucher + depth pick, I worded that wrongly my bad. I agree very much
