This is a good team that needs a few changes. Fiala is unfortunately a goner but this trade would be a big help to Minnesota.

A.) Rossi is the guy, I have absolutely no doubt. I would have taken him first in 2020.

B.) Would this offer be in the realm of Zetterlund, Boqvist, pick 37, and a 23 2nd from the Devils?

I don't like that package for Fiala alone. If he doesn't return a top 10-12 pick, we're much better off keeping him.

Buffalo would take that assuming they get a contract done that is fair to both sides. LAK does not need Kulikov but other teams would definitely take him for that price as he’s been above 75% in even strength defense over the last 3 years according to TopDownHockey

Not saying this is a good deal for Minnesota, but how can you keep him? You have no cap

Kaprizov-Rossi-Boldy is a line I'd be horrified of facing, complete and perfect line

Trade Dumba for futures. I think Talbot and Kulikov will also likely be gone, so that would remove up to $11M in cap space (probably closer to $9M since I don't know if we'd be able to move all 3 for futures only, but $9M is more than enough).

keep him anyway. why would you trade a 25 year old ppg winger if you don't need to lol

The only way the wild are trading him is if they can't extend him. I simply cannot believe that they would part with him willingly

We’re taking on a lot of cap for u guys in this deal,
13mil or so considering what Talbot will get

That’s the value of over a 1st round pick in itself,
so idk that u get all 3 of those pieces

Might have to take out the 1st or Mitts to get it done,
bc idk that we’d necessarily want Talbot or Jost
I think we’d just be agreeing to take them to get Fiala cheaper & help u guys with your Cap issues

Those guys have to be replaced in the line up too then. Not an ideal spot for Minnesota

Could be one of the best lines in the league sooner than later

Sure. But I'll take those replacements and Fiala over Dumba every single time.

I mean that those guys cost money too. Fiala has all the leverage. He can go to arbitration and then walk to ufa.

Rossi isn't even a lock to make the team at all next year. He's nowhere near ready top be a 1C at the NHL level.

Agreed
I like what my Sabres are building, but I don’t see us having any sort of dynamic line like those

Maybe Peterka-Cozens-Quinn at some point?

1st? He had one great OHL season as an overage player. Lundell probably should have gone 1st overall.

He had an NHLe of 30 in his d-1, what do you mean "one" good OHL season

Yep, they do, good thing none of them are important players. Dumba is a fine 2nd pairing guy that only plays part of the season and I'm just done with at this point, Kulikov is a depth defenseman that honestly I want nothing to do with after his playoff performance, and Talbot is a below average goaltender. Every one of them can be replaced with vet min guys aside from Dumba but Addison should take over Dumba's spot anyways, he deserves the minutes.

If Fiala is taken to arb he should fetch a huge return at next year's deadline.
