At this point they're risking his life.

Crosby can't do much else in his career to establish himself as one of the top-5 or top-10 players of all time. The numbers don't even really matter anymore. His career could have ended after that hit and the only people to really lose out would have been the fans. We've been robbed of so much of his talent already but he's accomplished everything ever asked of him.

I'm from Nova Scotia (Cole Harbour same place as Crosby). You don't hear about him running businesses or any ventures around here (whereas a guy like Marchand co-owns a Hundred Million Dollar + Housing Company). The reason I'm saying this is because I don't think Sid has much outside of his life besides Hockey. He won't step away because he's not mentally prepared and I think that's the biggest problem.

The company I'm referring to is Marchand Homes. It's Co-Owned by him and his brother (Jeff). Their grandparents own a big Real Estate company called Ramar. Jeff started there and then broke away on his own (with Brad). Brad supplies the money and Jeff runs it. They build and sell homes as well as have a another company (Marchand Properties) that buys and rents them. I'd explain it more indepth (I'm acquittances with Jeff believe it or not), but I'm not going to type it all out lol

I think it’s safe to say Sid is gonna work IN hockey or the NHL.
Been that feeling for a while.

You could also say Sid does have something lined up in Pittsburgh that I'm not aware of. He owns a beautiful house here on Grand Lake (Which Marchand Homes built), but who knows if he stays in Pittsburgh after he retires.

I get the vibe that Hughes likes American players so I doubt we get any of them

Hughes has said many times he won't sign big FA's so that's Letang and Bergeron gone to the dismay of many habs fans clearly

I think the direction Hughes goes all depends on Price

To me I think they should explore building around key guys like (soon) Wright, Suzuki, Evans, Romanov, Barron, and Pitlick if Price is not fit to play again

and move out the guys who either are taking to much space or want out

Petry, Hoffman, Savard, Weber's deal

Sure it will be a tough couple of years but they do have the foundation that could be intriguing in a few years.

As the 2023 draft has some really good players
