Rust made the most sense to extend as

Guentzel-Crosby-Rust has been a really good top line

Now I would extend Letang and go get Trocheck to replace Malkin via FA.

Apparently they offered Letang another deal at 4 years x 7.25m but he still wants more.

My guess is he wants 9mill as all those other Dman got lul

The highest I would go with him is 7.85 mill and term probs 3-4 years max.

As for Malkin yeah with a hometown kid in Trocheck being available I would look at that.

The problem is when its a hairline play it can go either way thats probs why they didnt even though it did look offside from my angle.

And giving a team like the Avs a PP if the challenge fails could just mean another goal for them

Pretty certain they wanted to, but didn't trust either the camera angle or the idiots in stripes to get it right. He was clearly already in the zone reaching back waiting for the puck to drop down. It's not rocket science.
