MTL need RHD so I don’t get the people trading Petry and not sending back a RHD back. If Petry gets traded, it’s gonna be for propects/picks and Letang signing in MTL

Trade 1 - Philly sucked last season and Sanheim is either very unlucky or he just isn’t good and stats tell me he isn’t good defensively.

Trade 2 - Gavrikov isn’t going to be traded, all signed point toward him signing an extension, it’s also been reported that Marchenko is living with him in Columbus as he adjusts to being in NA.

Trade 3 - sure what ever, I doubt Nashville does that but I’m fine with moving Nyquist.

Trade 4 - i could live with that, but I don’t think New Jersey makes it.

CBJ easily declines that Philly trade, Sanheim hasn't looked too good while Laine's been amazing. CBJ declines that MTL trade, Gavrikov's been an amazing 2 LD for CBJ and Petry is a question mark. Finally, NJ declines, Stenlund, Hjorth aren't worth much of anything and NJ would rather keep Zacha then take a shot on Foudy

Sanheim was by far the Flyers best defenseman and is analytically elite. Plus minus may be a bad stat but the fact that Sanheim had a positive plus minus on such a god awful team should show how good he was. If anything it’s the Flyers denying as Laine is an inconsistent scorer that while I think would be excellent in Philadelphia still isn’t as good as a very valuable top pairing d man and a top five pick. There would need to be something else, other than Bemstrom coming back for the Flyers to take this

Sanheim hasn't looked good? Eye test suggests he's been incredible and analytics back that up

Sanheim+ for Laine works as a base, I think the 5OVR with Sanheim is too much though.
Maybe Sanheim, Florida's 2024 1st and something more
