A 2nd for a player making like 1.3M, not happening, when in this case the Isles can afford him. It's about getting to the cap floor for the Sabers

Sabres can do that in free agency, its way easier to hit the floor than get under the ceiling. They'll help you with cap, though, for a price

    Panik isn’t a guy we’d want imo
We’re pretty much all set at forward unless it’s a top6 upgrade

When he’s buried he only costs $250k against the cap. Hell no

Everyone declines. Also you're gonna acquire one of the greatest RW's ever and put him on the LW? Not very bright.

Hagel gets traded to Tampa for 2 rookies (both 2nd round picks) and 2 1st round picks. Kane (arguably the best American born player ever), a guy who is a career >1PPG player who just had his 3rd most productive year ever in his 15th NHL season and he's only 33 gets traded for a guy who hasn't broken into the NHL yet and may never and a mid first round pick.

This is either satire or you're new at this.

Canucks wouldn't retain that much. A million maybe but that's a stretch. Would trade him straight up for Bailey though I think.

I'm just saying lead with what he is currently doing which is 3rd best season of his career and still a ppg player. What's he's done in the past in meaningless to an acquiring team. It's about what he can help you do now which is be a productive ppg player.

This is a pretty bad take. A players past career literally determines his value. You could've said what he's doing lately holds more weight than the past but to say it doesn't matter at all is just plain false.

Hagel is 23 and has 2 more years at 1.5 mill and is rfa still. Kane will be 34 at 10.5 for only a couple of months until hes UFA

Unless he has a time machine and is 23 again what he said is a fact.

Yeah I've watched him for the last 15 years and that's the majority of the problem. Nobody is giving Chicago a haul, for a couple months of a 34 year old that can not be a part of their future plans, due to his age and contract status, and has the opportunity to walk when the season is over. Even at 5.25 cup contenders will struggle to fit him into the roster at the deadline. You're delusional if you think he commands the value he had when he was 23. He gets a bit more than the above but not much more. Logistics doesn't care about your nostalgia. So sit on him and get no assets while Chicago is rebuilding or get a first a prospect and probably a roster player and start rebuilding properly

Agree to disagree but the package posted here for Kane is awful.
