Chychrun is going to cost more than that. I don't think the Islanders system has the prospects needed to make the Coyotes interested right now since Beauvillier isn't under team control long enough for them

i don't necessarily think we need chychrun, just someone better than chara (which luckily at this point is almost every player in the league). mike reilly could be a cheap target, maybe we could throw a fourth and get kulikov in that fiala deal, something like that, especially if they're throwing a ton of assets at acquiring a guy like fiala i think going cheaper but just finding someone with some speed or puck moving ability is key.

This looks like something Mike Milbury would do - hopefully the isles are forced into a rebuild next season if this happens.

Also Noah Dobson would never accept that - maybe on a 1 year deal leading to arbitration next summer. If Dobson went to arbitration he’d get at least 6 mill.

I don’t fundamentally disagree as a general manner, and would have chosen many players as options. I probably should have been clearer that I viewed this roster as the biggest possible plays that Lou could make if he wanted to take massive swings because he thought his job was on the line.
