Yeah a beatable lightning team, with vasy playing below his usual level. Not to mention the injuries to point and kuch in game 7.

There were plenty of times in the series where Toronto looked in control, a successful playoff team takes that and runs with it.

yeah, it's a shame the leafs never got a phantom 5 on 3 like tampa did to get them the tying goal like they did in game 6 or ignore intereference and holding on both tampa goals last night but call back a huge goal for the leafs on a borderline at best pick

No fan base deserves this more. If their fans weren't so smug with their endless rent free comments and pure denial, I'd feel bad for them. This is the one day of the year that the media doesnt pump their tires and their fans are somewhat quiet.

The blaming the refs never gets old. That leafs goal that got called back was the right call. It was interference lol. Tampa got a lot of garbage calls against them as well.

When the refs blatantly blow calls in two one goal elimination games, it's a big deal. And the issue isnt that holls penalty wasnt a penalty, it's that tampa did the same or worse in their goals and nothing got called.
It's that in the third of game 6 they called two phantom high sticks to give tampa a 5 on 3 and tie the game, then ignored bellmare litterally tackling a guy in OT.
The refs handed tampa both games at the perfect times and that's not really up for debate

It doesn’t matter what you think, you’re not a ref, you’re not apart of the league. The refs can only call what they see lol. Sometimes things get missed. This is hockey; it happens every single year. You don’t see other fanbases clinging onto that as their last hope. They understand that their team could’ve performed better.

Also, only one of those high sticks were phantom. The one on Kampf. The other one the guy had his stick on hedmans neck lol. It rode up hedmans shaft but you have to be in control of your own stick.

So if it doesnt matter what i think then why does it matter what you think? You arnt a ref or part of the league either and you have no idea if the ref saw or didnt (you could also literally watch the games and see the refs staring at the plays as they happen but sure). Killorn was literally hanging on to matthews jersey for like 20 seconds as he skated around the entire zone in game 6
And it aint clinging when it's blatantly obvious. Oh and hedman literally lifted the stick into his own shoulder, so yeah, two phantom calls.

My man. I literally wanted the Leafs to win. You're choosing to ignore the pick play the ref made against Kucherov's break away. You're choosing to not see the intentional offsides at the end of the game.

If you even wonder why people don't like the Leafs...it's their fans. It's you. You're blind to the game and are defending it to the death.

It doesn't matter a lick who you wanted to win, and im not ignoring the pick play on kucherov, im stating that the refs made a bunch of decisions that were incredibly beneficial to tampa in a pair of close games and tampa won because of them.
It doesnt matter who it happens to, it matters that it happens. The refs decided who won those games

To your point. I do think the first few games were won by special teams...aka penalties called or not called. Simmonds had a few penalties that seemed like he was tagged for a cheap shot that wasn't always called. Hedman I can see was controversial. It did look like he lifted the stick. The counter point is you need to controlled your stick like how high sticking gets called, but I hear you there.

Right, my entire issue isnt that the calls against the leafs were all totally 100% fake, just that there was zero consistency.
Like you cant call that holl pick that happens 100x a game to take away a tying goal and then let muzzin get mugged and the stick ripped out of his hand right in front of you as paul scores the other way.
I dont thin there's a grand conspiracy against the leafs, but tampa did end up on the right side of way too many coin flip calls for it to be an acceptable performance by the refs

So I hear you, but not on the Holl pick play. Other stuff I can agree with, but that was too obvious. Cirelli was all over JT just fine. I'm not suggesting Holl international did it, but same with high sticks. It was still a penalty.

Did TOR end up on the wrong side of penalties more so than TBL. Yeah probably for the blow outs. I don't think so in game 7.

Again, muzzin was clearly taken out of the play on the 2nd lightening goal, right in front of the ref in a much more obvious and blatant way. So that right there is enough. Call em or don't. Not to mention nylander being held on his break away limiting his speed and options, or getting pitchforked and tripped 2 feet in front of the net on a last push power play.
Games 6 and 7 were decided on calls followed by obvious non calls.
