Why wouldn't the Canucks consider this? This looks pretty solid unless Boeser will sign for a decent AAV for 5+ yrs

Doesn't meet the needs of the team. If we are moving assets like Boeser we need a young RHD to play with Hughes.

If you can add another first, then you could probably get that RHD as well by moving the pick and bring in a solid goal scorer.

Because it's at best a lateral trade, Boeser is more than likely going to sign a team friendly deal this offseason, if we trade Boeser a RHD needs to becoming the other way otherwise the trade is a failure imho

What's team friendly to you? The QO makes a trade harder and limits the teams he would be traded to. Olofsson is on the up and Boeser seems to have plateaued a bit.

He’s probably gonna sign a team friendly 2-3 year deal as reported. Even if we trade him, I’d want more than a very late first and an inconsistent forward

I'd say team friendly would be in the 6m - 6.5m range I still believe Boeser is the 30+ goal scorer that's been expected from him. This year just seemed everything went wrong for him while still putting in 20+ goals

I don't know anything about Vince Dunn, except he was acquired in the expansion draft.

Mittelstadt for Dunn on its own appears to be a vast overpayment, let alone throwing in draft picks.

Unless this guy emerged as a top-pairing defenseman in Sea and I missed it.

Two or three years is nothing close to a team friendly deal. He goes straight to UFA in the shortest time possible.

There was something going on with Vancouver and Buffalo at the TDL, fell through, supposedly a 3rd team was involved and backed out. I wouldn't be surprised if it was for Boeser or Garland.
