Trades
1.
EDM
  1. Svechnikov, Evgeny [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
He's a bottom six forward at most that would help Edmonton's forward depth and give them a tenacious forward that could be capable of helping out Edmonton's big dog forwards. He also is not much to give up and can be easily replaceable.
WPG
  1. Barrie, Tyson
Additional Details:
Barrie is a solid top 4 defensemen most times and he can run the powerplay and help out a struggling Winnipeg defensive core. He is also a RD which ups his value. While I don't see this deal as likely I could see it happen if Cheveldayof wishs to have a culture change.

* This deal only happens if Schmidt is moved from Winnipeg.
2.
EDM
NSH
  1. Kassian, Zack
Additional Details:
I don't think that he is neccesary a cap dump and Jon Hynes certainly likes his big forwards that will make a difference and create space and Nashville isn't really all that worried about cap space given the fact that they have 12+ million in space. Thus I don't think it's a cap dump but I do think that there could be room to add a third.
3.
EDM
  1. White, Colin
Additional Details:
The Sens buy him out cause his buyout penalty is peanuts.
OTT
The Oilers pick up Colin White for league minimum to see if he fits in with the team.
    4.
    SJS
    1. Foegele, Warren
    Additional Details:
This seems pretty even and is basically buying time for Skinner to fully develop and potentially get a breakthrough year from Hill as it is a contract year. It also waits out the last year of Smiths contract where he'll most likely retire. It also waits out the last year of Keiths deal which then he retires and you're left with more wiggle room to potentially go out and get Gibson.

Sharks instantly decline. Zero need for another 4th liner. Frankly, Hill has twice the value.

I like the roster overall but not sure JP will be sticking around with his usage in the playoffs. He has ~20 minutes of ice time in the last 3 games combined. Also getting Hill means Oilers would 100% be running 3 goalies next year.

Jets take on extra salary, even with a Schmidt trade to take on a defenseman who is pretty bad defensively, when the team overall has been poor defensively the last number of years? No thanks.
