Struble is decent and Drouin at half retained isn’t ridiculous contract like his full value one so I think Washington takes it
Fabbro took a big leap this year and I think they just resign forrsberg over acquiring gallagher

That's awful for Detroit they pass.

Even if they do resign forsbergm there's still a hole on RW, and I think they'll want to acquire Gallagher

Can't think of a single reason Nashville would entertain that. Of course we could say that about several of these.

So you want JP (who is on your top line) for a goalie worse then Oilers current goalies, a prospect that regressed this season and a late 3rd. Might want to up that offer.

The interest does not completely go away on Gallagher, I just think the package offered would look decently different from Nashville's side.

Petry is in his mid 30s and Hronek in his mid 20s. Yzerman has already stated multiple times he will acquire guys that fit our core. Not to mention the goalie debacle you proposed.

Well they aren't trading their starting goalie for a fringe one. They aren't taking on Petry for free. They aren't trading Hronek for Petry either. The compensation is not enough to make Detroit want to do that.

Also Nashville would never do that and I don't see Washington doing that either. Edmonton also passes and so does Arizona.

Ask anyone, and they'll say that Allen >>>> Smith or koskinen no doubt. Heck, Smith might retire, and koskinen will probably leave. Just because Pulijujarvi is on our top line , doesn't make him a top line caliber forward, and tuch was selected in the 2nd round albeit he hasn't turned out as expected, and we're adding a 3rd, it might not be exactly fair, but it's pretty close

It's not even close and Smith is better than Allen

Well lets start with the 10 year age gap between Petry and Hronek. Ned struggled this season at times but it was when the whole teamed struggled and he's still better than Montembeault. Kapanen is what a middle 6 center at best he doesn't even crack Montreals 10 best prospects and a 2nd in a draft 2 years from now doesn't make up the gap between Petry and Hronek.

Haha
If you use that "struggled this year" logic, then petry is MUCH more valuable than hronek, because petry struggled at times this year ( had 21 points in 27 games under msl tho) but it was when the whole team struggled (ducharme era) and during msl time this year, he was still better than Hronek!
So your logic is invalid!

Ok thanks you just made the argument for me. Why would Montreal trade for worse players?

Just so you know that is an actual logical fallacy it is called the Straw Man Fallacy!

In every way...Detroit is rebuilding and you want them to trade a 24 year old d-man in Hronek for a 34 year old on the decline in Petry (because Petry has ties to the Detroit area)? On top of that you want Detroit to give up the 2021 Calder 2nd runner up in goalie Nedeljkovic for a goalie that has yet to be a .900 save guy and is similar age? And Detroit only gets Kapanen (a frankly longshot to be anything other than a 3rd or 4th liner) plus a bottom of the round 2nd....get real

I would counter with Suzuki or laugh and hang up.

In what way, We sure as hell aren't trading Alex Nedeljkovic. And we aren't including Hronek in any deal for an aging Jeff Petry who was basically crap until MSL came in. Detroit by far is giving up the best 2 pieces in the entire deal and pass.

But he'd waive to Detroit, right?
