Take out Kerfoot, the two 3rds, change the 2022 1st to 2023, and replace Abruzzese with Robertson

Don’t think the Caps are gonna trade Wilson
Good idea to try n get him though

Still need a better goalie imo
Maybe Nylander for Hellebuyck if the Jets really are gonna blow it all up?

Lol not trading Wilson + 1st for Nylander. He’s a dime a dozen type of player and you can easily sign a player of his caliber in FA. Hard pass. Guys like Wilson aren’t common and highly desired

Caps say no, Wilson adds more value to Caps than his actual trade value. If they traded him, it would be the start of a rebuild or for an overpayment that helps them now. Him + a 1st for Nylander is neither the start of a rebuild or an overpayment from Toronto's side.

Kerfoot is a great player. He brings ALOT of value to this trade. If Van is out they can sell him at the trade deadline for over a 1st. You can mark my words on that one. Plus needed it for cap reasons. Although he would be easily moved in another trade.

I am hoping the Leafs keep Robertson. I think he has a lot to offer. I guess that's why you want him as well! :P

Campbell is a great goalie. He sucked for the middle of the season but was great in the playoffs and at the start of the year. I think the Leafs run it back with him.

The Canucks would value the 3.5mil of cap space more than Kerfoot the player. If he were a right shot and great in the faceoff dot there would be more of a fit but all their centers are LH so it makes more sense they sign Jarnkrok rather than trading for Kerfoot

Finally someone understands that if you are trading for someone, you need to give up more to get them. When the caps wanted Mantha, someone who played a more physical style that better suited what the caps wanted to do they moved Vrana and a first for him, and Toronto would be the one doing something similar in this scenario

Wilson, 1st for Nylander

Oh look, another "PLEASE give us Wilson for one-dimension Nylander, who we have been continually trying to trade on here for three years, plus give us some extra stuff to boot" TML AGM...

Trading Wilson would be a PR nightmare in DC, but for giggles, Caps counter with Wilson for Nylander (-$1.8M), 2nd, 2nd
