Canucks decline. That doesn’t make them much better and we retain on Pearson while giving up a 2nd? No thanks

Hmmm. I don’t hate it if nylander can play center. Although I’d rather not take mrazk back. I would say have Toronto throw in a 2nd and I thank. I could get on bored with this.

I doubt Toronto offers that and there are only a couple players in the draft I'd take over Nylander and I doubt they be there at 8. So I'd probably take it but Yzerman seems perfectly happy playing the slow game so I don't know about him.

But at that price I don't know if him not being a center matters. Vrana and Nylander could make a lot of centers look good.

Not to mention that Mrazek was a locker room cancer last time he was in Detroit and Mrazek got Detroit's old goaltending coach fired in favor of his guy---and that guy just got fired by Yzerman a few weeks ago.

You are more than likely right but I'm just not all that impressed with this draft class.

Yeah just send him to Toledo.

I know he feels older because he's been around forever, but Nylander is still only just 26 (happy belated to the May 1st boy), which fits right in with a lot of Detroit's top forwards - Larkin's 25, Vrana's 26, and Bertuzzi's 27. I think I'd argue about wanting more back if they send Mrazek, but at the end of the day you can make this move and still have enough cap space to just buyout Mrazek and find a better goaltender in UFA.

But it doesn't matter anyway I don't see Toronto doing this it's a 1st, a forward prospect well outside of Detroit's top 10 and a busted Dman.

It's not that I don't think the player would be good in Detroit, just it doesn't make sense to trade picks, even if people feel this draft class is weak you never know what you are going to get. Also he could easily walk in a couple years or ask for too much money. I also feel like if they need a top 6 winger at the time they want to contend, there will almost always be free agent options or options via trade. Just the timing and length of his contract doesn't work with us right now. Also in really hoping that we can draft a potential 2C or one of the defencemen with our pick.

Too hard to tell right now, never know what they can get.

Detroit 100% doesn't want Petr Mrazek back, Not dealing Cross Hanas that kid is going to be special player. If Yzerman deals the 8th overall pick it's not for another winger but a 2C like Bo Horvat.

doesn't make sense for either team. detroit is still imo not at the place to be giving up premium futures like the 8th oa. also why would the leafs make this to basically run back the same team that just lost in the first round? Isn't the point of trading one of the core to have an actual big shake up, not literally just have the same team minus one of the best players?

Why would Wings want mrazek back?... Even if hypothetically so... Only if it's a first rd pick exchange .. Ours 4 yours .. Then maybe..but not giving 8 & hanas who's had great season and eating your cap dump..not a chance unless we get 1st rounder back at least if later in round

Canucks will trade you Pearson for Kerfoot 1 for 1, but they aren't retaining any salary or giving up higher draft capital

He can't. The only person in the world that sees William as a centre is himself. Not even in junior was he good at that position.

They're both players that need really good playmaking centres to show their best, we don't have that right now and it's a higher priority than a winger.

You are right but there is no way Toronto lets him go that cheap.
