    It isn't his fault he consistantly builds one of the best teams who then go to underperform

    I love Jeannot but that is a brutal deal for Toronto. You'd need to have Fabbro coming back as well.

    that jeannot trade is abhorrent man youd need to have picks plus coming back along with jeannot to make it even considerable. that being said I like the rest of it good plan all in all

    Some of those signings are crazy, Giordano might come back cheap, but not at 1mil. Lyub is a UFA, why would he come back for just 1mil? Deslauries gets more than 1mil?

    Theres no way 6 of the starting 12 forwards are new, and if you're spending 4.5mil on Ville, might as well re-sign Campbell for the same/similar amount.

    Tougher team, but theres just no way.

    Sticking with back to back cup champs to within one goal in game 7 is no small feat. If it weren't for the past decade of epic playoff failures, people would view this year's loss to the Lightning as an unfortunate and incredibly close result between almost equal teams in a very loaded conference.

    So I'm absolutely not surprised Dubas is keeping his job. This isn't on him.

    Dubas is awful. He signed Tavares for too much money and no reason, Marner for too much money and completely hamstrung the team's cap space to provide good defense and goaltending. If you expect to win with a goalie like Campbell, you need a good defense in front of him. I don't know why anyone would be shocked that Toronto is out in the first round again. Can't win games 5-4 and 6-5 every night in the playoffs.

    LOL agreed. There is no way Tavares moves to wing and if Giordano is going to play anywhere cheap next year, it's back in Calgary.

    The only way the Leafs get better is if they get rid of Tavares and spend that money on defense and goaltending.
