Debrincat is not worth that. Young top 4 D, Top prospect, a 1st and more? Easy pass by rangers. They don't even offer that for Kane.

1. Kane is not waiving his NMC for Ottawa.

2. We are not spending the 7th overall pick and JBD on just one season from Kane.

not at all. leaves a gaping hole at LHD, takes our best prospect, + 1st rounder. Rangers have enough wingers. Would rather sign Vatrano to a one year deal.

A rental? Do you have any idea who Debrincat is? He's 24 with two years on his deal.

I think the issue is less that the Rangers "wouldn't give that up" (insane to say for a team that could cobble an LD lineup out of Lindgren/Jones/Nemeth with Robertson/Tinordi/Hajek as cheap depth dudes and add a 40 goal scorer) and more that they "can't afford it" (only one ELC going out and $6.4M coming back in for a team that already only has about $7.3M in cap space for next season.)

It's one year. Two years including this season. One afterwards. If he had term it would be a yes but he doesn't
