Sorry who made the fire sale? Minni can't afford that trade (or even want to make that trade). Doubt if San Jose can afford Nylander cap for picks only, especially if a first rounder is included for two years of Nylander. Brodie doesn't waive.

No, minnesota declines, and so does john javaris. We aren't ruining our team to take on cap dump justin holl also.

1) Why sign an injury prone Kase. Especially for 3Mil
2) sorry. You can’t trade Tavares as he has a NMC. No trade, no buyout, no nothing!
3) Matthews won’t get traded. I suggested a trade to Arizona after last years loss, but he won’t get traded now.
4) Mikheyev will get more than 2.5Mil on the open market, and Toronto probably doesn’t match if more.

you cannot trade matthews thats on a gretzky trade level right there, no matter who you get back save maybe four players that trade will always be a fleece. how you managed to exclude the 2023 first from ARI is unreal to me, without a shot at bedard this is the worst trade in NHL history. even with this is unreal. also minny can't afford that trade after the suter/parise buyouts.

So the team is significantly worse and doesnt even get any worthwhile rebuild assets out if it?
Whats with all the horrible matthews trades today?

Most of the trades on this site are for players that have NMC/NTC. Maybe there should be a capfriendly2.com for dreamers that like to make trades that can’t happen. LOL

Two of the popular ways to create cap space on CF. Trade NTC or even M NTC players to lousy teams with cap. Place a player on LTIR.

Jost has 1 year @ 2.25 mil. Holl doesn't, so no. Jost is also the perfect player for bottom line who can play in top 4. Minnesota doesn't need Justin holl, nor taking on his contract

Holl has one year at 2 and he can actually play in the top 4. Jost makes more and is a 4th liner
He is a much much bigger cap dump than holl is. The leafs dont need tyson jost or his contract

Add Gostisbehere, Crouse, and Keller and Leafs will retain $1,143,083 of Matthews salary and Leafs accept.

Arizona accepts and moves to bigger stadium.

Wild cannot make that trade with all that dead cap.

Minnesota doesn't need Justin holl. Considering holl wouldn't even play on a stacked defensive squad of 8 good d under contract. One of which has to be traded.
