Trades
1.
MIN
  1. Grans, Helge
  2. Turcotte, Alex
  3. 2022 1st round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
The Wild get the big RD they are lacking in their prospect pool along with a talented center prospect. I haven't been very high on Turcotte since his draft year, but I think he could become a decent two-way 2C if he reaches his ceiling.
LAK
  1. Fiala, Kevin [RFA Rights]
  2. O'Rourke, Ryan
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
LA's choice of Peart, Hunt, or O'Rourke.

LA is loaded with RD in their system. The Wild are loaded with LD, making both teams a natural trade partner. LA adds a game-breaking PPG talent up front with Fiala. This trade assumes LA signs Fiala to a long-term deal.
2.
MIN
  1. 2022 4th round pick (CGY)

Think removing the picks makes it closer? I thought about that, I guess I'm just not as high on Turcotte as most.

Just came out that Turcs had another concussion… I’d say Fiala alone is close here.

I think they’ll be all in on Forsberg. But Fiala fits and a 1st and Grans seems like a no brained, Turcs also had another concussion.

Imo they’ll sign Forsberg and move assets for Chychrun. Much better scenario for them

Im not sure the value isn't horrible at all. I just think LA doesn't have much incentive to make this move. Better to keep the Solid prospects and continue the build. Obviously what do I know but these rushed rebuilds can sometimes explode. Not saying it wont happen but this is just my take. maybe im just too cautious.

I would STRONGLY consider this deal as the Los Angeles GM. This isn't like those prospect-for-prospect deals where we'd be loath to pull the trigger because the guy going out might turn into an All-Star and the guy coming in might be a bust, or Martin Erat; we already know how good Kevin Fiala is.

Aaaah, who am I kidding? I'd take this deal in a heartbeat.

Agreed. Fiala makes sense for them, but I doubt they’d want to move the same assets an OTT or possibly NJD would. Regardless, they’re adding a scoring wing.

I tried playing with LA and it’s pretty tough fitting an 8 mill contract on top of signing Anderson and Kempe. They’ll be close to the cap.
