The list of leafs players (not named Matthews or Marner) who have been more productive than nylander since 2000 are:
Kessel 11/12
Tavares 18/19

Let's stop trading the elite winger for scraps yeah?

Please hire DeBoer. Can’t wait to see him ask his players to play through injury due to cap constraints 😂😂😂

DeBoer and Lehner had that whole passive aggressive thing this year and you want to bring them both to a pressure cooker market where every word and decision is endlessly scrutinized?

DeBoer is not a good coach if you're chasing long term success. He wears out his welcome after the first year or two everywhere he goes, and the team sinks afterwards. I don't think he was necessarily the problem in Vegas, but I'm not sure he's a palpable upgrade on Keefe.

Deboer is a win next year move. he pisses off his players quickly so his shelf life is less than 3 seasons.

have you not seen how deboer coached the devils, sharks and vegas??? He is stubborn with his tactics. Toronto would be foolish to hire him

Keefe is not a head coach. Deboer holds his players accountable to the system and to their structure. That is what the good coaches do, guys like Cooper and Trotz do it too. The coaches who play the hands off style of coaching do not win cups.

He took the Devils and the Sharks to cup finals. Being stubborn with your tactics is what a head coach should be. Keefe is not a head coach, he’s a hands off let the stars play pond hockey coach. Those guys don’t win cups.

no being stubborn results in losing out to inferior teams like dallas and montreal. deboer never adjusted to montreals counter attack the whole series last season. being stubborn gets you no championship

We certainly haven’t lost to an inferior team like Montreal before.

Look I don't entirely disagree with you on Keefe all I'm saying is I'm not sure DeBoer is the magic bullet in the "accountability" department that you seem to think he is and I can tell you for sure that in the unlikely event that both DeBoer and Lehner end up on the same team again there will be significant dysfunction given what transpired this past season

I’d rather have Deboer than Lehner
