Description

There's probably a better trade out there for Faksa and still be cap compliant, but I assume if we get Burns, Faksa is the one moved for cap space. Maybe it's Guri's RFA rights, but it's one of the two. All assuming we make a splashy signing like Forsberg.

Sharks Accept that just becuase they have to rebalance the Defense. Dont love Benn but its bad contract for bad contract

Really feel a 1 for 1 would be enough Burns for Ben. helps both teams and doesn't hurt either team much.

I think Burns is probably the better of the two. I probably put a little too much draft compensation in there, but I still think Dallas pays something to San Jose as long as they don't retain any of Benn's salary.

Burns>Benn $1.5 mil cheaper and produced more points than Benn as a defenseman.

I'd say the Sharks decline on the contract alone. Burns is cheaper, but still more productive than Benn. Also, there no way Benn is going to agree to leave Dallas.

Yeah it would be tough to convince Benn to leave. Does he have a full NMC?

Yeah Benn is a full NMC. But I wouldn’t be so certain as to say he 100% would never leave Dallas. He obviously would be difficult to convince to waive the NMC, but I don’t think that’s an impossible feat.
