Penguins realistic rebuild

Created by: Cbreezy
Team: 2022-23 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: May 16, 2022
Published: May 16, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Penguins go ahead and trade for a good consistent goalie who will be there for the future. Add some grit at bottom 6 forward, and sign some veteran players to bring along the generally young team. They’re adding size and speed to compete with the new outlook of the Metropolitan division. Feel free to express your opinions on this quick and realistic rebuild for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

You think the guy who threatened to retire if taken by anyone not named Toronto would sign anywhere not named Toronto huh? And you believe this is realistic?

Of course he would Pittsburgh is a great city and he would get good minutes. This is definitely realistic… don’t see where the issues involving that would be.

There’s just so much bad in this… 1. You said “realistic rebuild” then proceed to trade Sid (we won’t even talk about the horrific return). 2. 2 2nds for Reaves???????? 3. Dustin Brown is literally retiring at the end of the season so how you figure he signs here?

I respect the effort here but those trades are absolutely abysmal

How realistic of a rebuild is it when you signed a guy who just retired to a 3 year deal and sent a goalie to a team with 10.5 million tied up to 2 goalies for a cheap RFA?
