I'm sure the Isles would LOOOOVE to give up their young 50 point RD2 who has 4 years of RFA control left for a 30 year old on an expiring deal who only gets to 50 points if you start counting in 2019. Throwing in that late 2nd and a 3rd a few drafts away really seals the deal, IMO.

That LA trade is pretty awful.

The Kings don't want Carter back, so they're essentially giving away Danault and Lemieux to move up ~30 spots in the draft.

Danault was the Kings single best player this season and is looking to be a bargain at his $5.5M cap hit. Not to mention that he's not going to waive his NMC.

Lemieux is pretty much the only grit LA has in the lineup.

Hard no from the Kings.
