Why should Chicago do you the favour of taking on your 7D pylon for a second and a third? He’s worth like a sixth

Lindholm literally has at least 5 times the value of Tavares, why is Calgary adding not only one of the top shutdoen dmen in the entire league but also a 2nd?

Dubas would the GM of the century if he pulled off that trade with Calgary, Linholm is a better player on less than half the salary. Chicago probably does it for a third rounder alone. Vancouver maybe but the Leafs don't really need Schenn, I think they can get a second rounder for Kerfoot. Philly definitely says no, they'll want to get prospects and picks alone, NJ says no they don't want an expensive veteran goaltender.

Jersey would need more to take on Mrazek, if you want a 2nd rounder in return.

Leafs fans need to stop sending Holl to CHI. CHI is not buying and Holl does not help a rebuild. Not to mention Holl isn't worth anything close to that.

Really?
I'd take Nick Robertson and Mrazek's cap in a heartbeat for a 2nd in 2023.
Robertson should develop into a great 2nd liner in time.

Nah, Chicago isn't touching Holl. We have Jones, Murphy and good prospects in Regula and Mitchell on the right side and they need playing time.

Robertson for the ‘23 2nd is fine, but Mrazek 3.8 mil for another two years is tough to justify as we move on from rebuilding and need a goalie who isn’t on a sharp decline

I don't see the issue here.
Devils can easily bury Mrazek or buy him out at a very reasonable cap hit.
Robertson is definitely worth the trouble.

It’s a bad long term move, for a team who is currently breeezong off of ELCs and budget deals.

Within the course of that contract, NJ will need to resign their entire core (except Nico, Hughes and Dougie)

There’s no point in wasting 4 million in cap. Split that 4 million up to give in UFA, or to convince other guys to stay. NJ shouldn’t be a cap dumping ground at this point.
