I think if Robertson was ready for a top 9 role we would have seen him more already this year. Cost certainty at <800k is the only reason he's in the conversation at this point. Everyone expects a jump to be more like his brother-- but he's not about to grow 6".

Muzzin has NTC but not NMC so in theory they could place him on waivers and then he has no say where he goes. So it is likely mutually beneficial on him to help the team facilitate a trade if they are set on moving him.

There are examples every off season of non-playoff teams giving up mid/late round picks for players on or close to expiring deals, especially useful players like Kerfoot. If not NJ pick any team in good standing with their cap space.
