You still have to pay Laf, Miller, and Jones the next season with only Rooney leaving as a UFA. Also the Vegas deal is a hard no from them

It will be an interested offseason in 2023 with Laf, Miller, Jones and Chytil all needing new contracts with no real money coming off the books.

Robertson is a solid D prospect stuck in a stacked Rangers pipeline and Hunt is a good 3rd/4th liner on a league-minimum deal. Vegas needs the cap space and they're trading away RFA rights. Very similar to the Buchnevich deal last year but for a much lower-caliber player.

Along with the cap going up, they are getting an extra $3.4M because of the Girardi, DeAngelo, and Shattenkirk buyouts ending

Not a problem paying 3/4 of those guys at the least. Laf will probably get a bridge, Jones won't get much, Chytil will maybe get something but he's easily moveable. Got a TON of money coming off the books with Reaves leaving + cap increase + buyouts ending. Goodrow and Lindgren both have deals that can be moved if necessary. As for the Roy deal it isn't perfect and I'd probably say Kravtsov would go in place of Robertson but I low-balled a bit since they're in a cap crunch and we're only getting Roy's RFA rights.
