Still a no. We don't need Petry even if Letang doesn't resign. We most likely go for Burns or Manson

Montreal declines the Stars and Pens trades and HF what an overpay for Pitlick! 1 good year does not warrant that kind of a pay increase. I think his QO on a 1 year deal is sufficient enough until he backs up this year's production.

I doubt that. Also almost a 40 point year as a journeyman in 3 different teams is easily worth two mil deal, especially if it has term under it. You can cut couple of hundred thousands from it but it's a moot point, cap isn't an issue for them anyway.

Then you sign Pitlick to the stars for that, if he doesn't sign his QO we should walk away

I would if we had the cap no problem.

I like Rem, he is a good player and all but I just don't see him getting more than a QO this year. Next year if he repeats his success, sure no problem give him a longer term contract with higher value.

The thing is he's taken his QO already twice. I don't see him taking it third time.

I expect him to want a contract in the ballpark of $1,75-2,5M. I think it's fair for a 40 point forward, even if it's a one off.

Reminds me of Mattias Janmark in this sense.

He took his QO's with other teams and before this season had a career total of 13 points, a one off year of 26 points does not warrant more than a QO IMO.

But what he has done now does warrant more than that. He had a 40 point year this year, counting what he did in Preds and Wild too.

His QO is $966k. That's too low imo. I don't see him signing that.
