Kings don't need more goaltending prospects. Drop Portillo and the 4th and it's a fair deal.

There's nothing in it for Winnipeg. They say no.

No thank you to Campbell. Same with Holtby. Sabres need a reliable goalie, I cant trust either of the 2 that I mentioned. Anderson retires and moves to Florida if you waive him

Whats a 4th getting you. Portillo would also be LA's best goalie prospect so, just because they have some doesnt mean they wouldnt want him

That's an overpay for Campbell. If you are willing to spend that much on goaltending Kuemper is a better option.

You're talking like goaltending isn't the most random thing in the NHL. Devils will happily take Portillo for a 4th despite how good Daws and Schmid have been in the AHL. He can sign with his Michigan buddies, Hughes and Edwards.

Parik was an ok ECHLer. 4th barely makes up the difference between Grans and Johnson as well

Erik Johnson doesn't waive for Buffalo. Campbell could be a good signing....but 6m might be a little pricey. Heck the Leafs could sign Sabres UFA goalie Anderson and he might be their number one.

Check out Parik's international play. He only played in the ECHL because of the Kings logjam at goaltender. They needed to get playing time for their older guys (Villalta and Ingham). He's going to be a quality NHL goaltender.

Hrenak almost single-handedly carried St. Cloud State to the Frozen Four for the past two seasons, winning against much higher rated teams. They lost in the Championship game last year. Hrenak was injured at the beginning of the tournament this year, and wasn't able to work his magic again, losing to Quinnipiac in the round of 16. 2nd best NCAA goaltender behind Dryden McKay.

Also Grans has greater value than Johnson IMO, due to the fact that he already has a year of pro hockey under his belt and because he plays the much more highly coveted RHD position. Without those considerations, they're pretty much a coin flip.

Why would he? He lives in California, and Colorado. Just don't think any player wants to spend his last NHL season on a non playoff team, when he has choice not to.

I doubting Sabres are in the playoffs next year, and I'm betting EJ has the same thought. Even with his M NTC he can name teams that have no cap, and he can be assured he won't be traded. Yep he might or might not retire.
