My guess is Chicago asks at least for the 2nd overall since they don't have their first this year.

Don't see Chicago dealing DeBrincat to NJ, Without the 2nd overall pick being Involved.

Not enough. Also not in love with Zacha, Smith as parts of the package. To get a two time 40 goal scorer entering his prime it starts with Holtz and a first. Probably something else that’s also really appealing to Chicago/

NJ is essentially hoping Holtz becomes Debrincat. Smith, who looks like a bust, Zacha, good 3rd liner (hawks are rebuilding), and a 2nd is enough for the hawks to take the risk that Holtz becomes what Debrincat is some day. I'll give you a quick and easy trade proposal that the hawks should accept for cat that NJ fans won't like: Debrincat for Holtz+2OA. I'll add I don't think cat is going anywhere but if NJ offered that the hawks would have to think very hard about it and probably do accept it.

After 1 bad year Smith is a bust? Don't agree with that at all. The kid is only 22. He had a great rookie year and then a sophomore slump

Time will tell I guess. I do agree my wording there was a bit harsh but my point stands he's not really an asset the hawks would be looking for in a Debrincat trade unless you're discounting his value significantly from where he was drafted. Smith, zacha, and a 2nd aern't close to enough premium over holtz for the hawks to take the rest, especially considering you're hope is holtz becomes a mplayer very similar to debrincat some day. I stand by that point
