Way too much for a player for a few years.

Seriously? The picks are late first rounders, and the players are not high end. MTL would be like the Ikea lady with this deal. PIT says no way.

not a single asset in that offer even moves the needle for the Pens. If the Pens are going to trade Sid, there needs to probably be one or two A list prospects or young top 6 Fs, to start. Then you fluff with the late firsts.

The problem with Crosby trade is not is value. No the problem is that IF he's trade which mean Pittsburgh going through a total rebuilding and there not gonna any player as Rust, Guentzel, Crosby, Malkin, Letang in the teams. Also pretty sure that Sidney have full control over is situation with the teams. If he really wants to move he would for some good but at same time we need to think about what Crosby could bring at the moment of trade to is end of contrat.

Crosby in Pittsburgh is probably the player with the more influence with the management of the teams. IF he say we run for 3 more years as playoffs teams that the way the DG will need to be. If Crosby want to go in rebuild (which is hard to believe) that the way thing gonna go.

And finally like I say above if Crosby is trade it's mean there no more Veterans or playoffs player. This mean veterans like Petry or Dvorak couldn't be the target in trade. 2023 draft would be tricky to trade is first draft pick as it's gonna be a really good and deep draft.

You would need to add prospect like Harris, Mailloux, Struble, Barron, Kaiden Guhle with maybe a Sean Ferrel.

Crosby could be great in MTL but for how many years ??
Maybe 3 to 5 ?? Is that a good price to pay for another small playoffs window opportunity ?
