I dont think NJ would move Siegenthaler, he is now part of their core & had a fantastic season. They are also a bit thinner on D than upfront, so it would create a hole. Last, the package offered is waaaay off on value, but I appreciate that you may not be very familiar with NJ's players if you're on the west coast. Great season by the Kings ... onward & upward from here I suspect

In no way is Walker the Kings' best defenseman. Either way, one of Walker, Durzi or Roy have to go. There is a log jam already and its only going to get worse with Faber and Clarke on the doorstep. Durzi might be equally likely to move but I think I'd prefer to keep the offensive upside of Durzi, which we're going to need back there.

And yeah I don't know a ton about Steigenthaler other than he has very good, but not star-level underlying metrics and fits the timeline / cap space freeing up that is going to happen for the Kings. I'd be inclined to listen to whatever NJ wanted though, but maybe its a non-starter as you guys said.

Siegenthaler is the Devils best defensive defensemen who broke out this year. I think he stays for the future
