Description

Hopefully Trotz can convince Schiefele to buy in just like he did with Ovetchkin. Nichushkin is a forward I think Trotz would push hard to get. He’s one of the most underrated defensive forwards and sticking him with Schiefele would probably help boost Schiefele’s defensive reliability. Nichushkin definitely won’t have the same offensive impact as he did with Colorado because he won’t have Mackinnon with him but Schiefele and Ehlers should be good complimentary forwards for him. I don’t know what else Trotz would do to change the team but if Schiefele doesn’t buy in then he’s as good as gone.

Last thing the Jets need is Scheifele buying in to anything… we need Scheifele, Wheeler, and their toxic culture gone immediately and permanently

Then who do you trade him for, we need two good centers and I don’t know if Perfetti is suited to play center. The Jets aren’t good at attracting any good free agents unless you want to overpay, although I underpaid for Nichushkin. So I have no idea who you can bring in other than through a trade.
