You have to fit Brian Dumoulin under the cap. So you're actually $4M over. You have to get rid of Zucker or not resign Rust.

As a Pens fan, Definitely have no interest in running the same roster as last year.

I just put Dumo there as an easy way to get his salary off the cap while I was playing around. He's basically a placeholder for "get rid of one of our 4+mil LD".

That's fair. Some of the moves I did were more placeholders. Boyle/Zohorna are placeholders for "min contract player". DeSmith is a placeholder for a backup goalie. Honestly wasn't expecting anyone to look at this haha. Was just playing around.

However, I would be ok with mostly returning the difference makers. Completely dominated the Rangers and should've won easily. Maybe the Rangers are just that bad but I was happy with the playoff performance minus the result which I pin on injuries and refs.

While I agree that the Pens dominated the Rangers and probably would have won with Jarry in net, I still think the Pens need some finishers. Removing Kap, Zucker and maybe Dumo since he's lost a step, and letting POJ and DOC player would give the Pens the ability to sign someone who can actually score goals. Kap and Zucker have been ridiculous underwhelming in their Pens Tenure, and I think Dumo can be replaced nowadays. Preferably by Petts, and let Matheson play with Marino. 3rd Pair of POJ-Ruh would be fine by me.
