Description
Fastest team across the board I've ever seen.

We have got to start making sharper passes and cleaner exits to generate more offense--

Some thoughts on players after game 1: ROR gave it his all - he looks like the conn smythe winner from 2019. DP57 and Schenn we're fine. I thought Bozak had a really good game. Kyrou scored but also lost some must have board battles. Faulk was excellent. 55 was shaky with passes at times but also lead some strong rush chances. The rest of the D needs to play smarter with the puck when they get it, far too many o-zone turnovers, especially Rosen. Buchy/91/Barby all had uneventful games though Buchy played well on PK. The biggest concern for me, by far, is the play of Robert Thomas. I have to think he is injured in some capacity. 4/15 on Face-offs, no sogs for his line. This series is lost unless he raises his game. I know it is unfair to put it all on one guy but we can't rely on ROR and Perron to shut down the Mackinnon line and also be the sole source of goal scoring. We must have production from the Buchy/Thomas/Tarasenko line to have a chance, especially because Colorado has made it a priority to stay out of the box, unlike the Wild that seemed to enjoy it.

Obviously its just one game, and it was an OT loss on the road against the cup favorites who had about a week off to prep, but it very well could have been 8-2 if it weren't for some posts and stellar play from Binner. (This game felt like the blues game vs the preds where we won 8-3 or something and scored 7 goals in the 2nd. It felt that lopsided.) Not saying series it over, but we better sharpen up our passes and get stronger board play from everyone and more production from key guys to actually make this a series.

Congratulations to those who have read this far..

AVS dummied the Blues in the OT. They went Globetrotters. Blues are a very good team. But the AVS are a Wagon. I don't think any team is knocking them off. Makar what a weapon he is.

That was the worst game the Blues played all year, I can’t think of more than 2 skaters who were even fine. Tarasenko was exceptionally bad and uninvolved I thought

From and Avs fan: I have no doubt the Blues will make adjustments and be better next game. Avs made some sloppy plays and the Blues capitalized. The Avs also flubbed some very good scoring chances. So, while I don't think what we saw from the Blues will continue, I also don't think the Avs finishing will be as shoddy. Avs also looked pretty ragged on the PP. So, things to clean up for both teams.

Something else to ponder. Avs up 3-0 in period with long change, down 2-0 when not.
