Canucks decline, aside from the 1st none of those other pieces are very enticing

Not a good enough package for Miller. Start with one of your 1sts this year and one of Boqvist/Ceulemans

Swap the second rounder and robinson for our first this year. Don't think they take it otherwise.

Don't love Dumba, but if that is all it takes I would be down. Assuming we either flip him at the deadline or get an extension that is favorable.

The 4th line wingers need to be in cleveland if they arent getting M6 minutes. Rotate Robinson/Deslauriers in and put danforth on the other side of that 4th line.

I would be happy with this offseason.

not sure why so many jackets fans want to part with Nyquist right now.
Just had the 3rd best year of his career on a team-down year(1 point away from 2nd best), and he wants to stay here. Not on that steep of a contract either, 5.5 for 50+ points, and expires next year. If he wants an extension as he is getting into his 30s, he could take a cheaper deal, or we can wait till the deadline and retain sell him to a desperate buyer. But he has already said he doesn't want to leave. But as we saw with Atkinson, no one is safe.

He’s going to be 30 next season and has one year left. Would rather wait to see if we can get him as a UFA. If he’s traded as a rental at the deadline he’s not getting this package. Doesn’t make sense for the jackets to do this for 3 firsts value wise. Would rather see how those pieces develop.

roslovic for a 1st is a reach, but yes that is the price and he wont make it to UFA

That’s fine by me. Roslovic is probably worth 2 seconds but we would also be giving up a lottery first so it would even out. As a rental you would be getting a package of a late first. Boqvist is
a young cost controlled RHD who hasn’t reached his prime. He was on pace for 17 goals and can QB a PP. Not sure the jackets would give him up for one year of JT. Even if that was his value (it’s too much) the jackets shouldn’t be making this trade as they won’t be a contender next year.

Maybe Bean, 12OA, and a player like texier if he comes extended

We have too many wingers. Laine-Voracek, Bjorkstrand-Gus, Johnson-Tex, Chinny-Marchenko, Robinson-Danforth, Bemstrom-Foudy are roughly how I rank the pairings. With the exceptions of Johnson, Chinny and Marchenko, all 9 of those wingers have to be on the roster or pass through waivers. The hope is that those 3 exceptions don't need to be in Cleveland very long, so you have to clear out space. Gus is a luxury at this point that will likely not be around for the completion of the rebuild. Might as well move him and get something in return rather than let him walk. Hopefully you move him and can you that return to get a C or RD.

Part of that is our own problem of picking guys that were supposed to be centers and just aren't now. KJ, Tex and Foudy especially were all supposed to be centers, that just don't play it now. Tex sometimes, but KJ only took 6 faceoffs at Michigan last year. And as of rn im not banking on Marchenko until he actually gets to training camp and plays NHL games. Based on his KHL point rate, granted he was on the 3rd line this year, I don't think he'll be a Kaprizov-Panarin impact guy, maybe like a Barabanov or Mikheyev good middle 6 scoring depth, rather than our flock of forecheckers. But you never know with KHL guys. But I'd also hope he's no Shipachyov. I want him to be good, and don't think he can really be rushed as much as he is a bit older now for a prospect, as both Chinny and Bemstrom kinda were rushed here. Bemstrom more misused than rushed
