I know the point of this is adding more Russians to the team, but the Islanders are winning that trade backwards forwards and inside out. I am also in the Camp that believes Buffalo would rather have Lars Eller to replace Cody Eakin with.

I am of the opinion that Vanicek is a better goaltender right now then Varlamov is, plus you’re giving them the better pick. But I understand you’re looking for a veteran goaltender that you can trust.
